Getting Started with your Hinge Health Program

Hello and welcome to Hinge Health!

You’ve taken an important first step by signing up for your program and are now well on your way to reducing your pain and improving your health.

Your next step towards a stronger, happier you is getting started with your program. Here are the first three steps you’ll need to take, along with some helpful tips to successfully complete your early exercise sessions.

Step 1: Download the Hinge Health App.

Step 2: Login into the Hinge Health App.

  • Tap on the Hinge Health app icon (look for a green “H” with a tan background) to open the app.

  • You have the choice of signing into the app either:

    • With your mobile number (you’ll receive an SMS message with a login code)

    • Using the email and password you set when you signed up with Hinge Health

    • By signing in with your Google email or Apple ID

  • Here are some helpful tips:

    • Your device must be connected to the internet or your cellular data in order to to sign in to the app.

    • If you don’t remember which phone number or email address you signed up with, or need to change these details, please contact our support team via phone, email, or live chat for help.

    • If you need to reset your password, simply click the 'Forgot password?' link after entering your email address, which will email you a link to set a new password (you might need to check your Junk/Spam folder if you don't see this email in your inbox). If you don't receive the password reset email, please contact our support team via phone, email, or live chat and they can help you reset it.

Step 3: Tailor your program.

  • Once logged in, the app will guide you through a few quick stretches and help you set a goal for your exercise sessions, in order to personalize your program to your needs and ability. This should take 5-10 minutes.

  • After this, you’ll have full access to your program. Exercise regularly and stick to your goals, and you’ll soon start seeing noticeable improvements in your strength, mobility and pain!

Helpful tips for completing your exercises

  • During each exercise session you’ll have the option to use our 3D computer vision technology to receive real-time feedback on your form, ensuring you can move confidently and get the most out of your exercises. Simply toggle ‘Motion insights’ on at the start of your playlist exercises, or select ‘Motion lab’ from the Library tab in the app.

  • You can pause your exercise session at any time by pressing the “Pause” button (a gray circle on the bottom right hand corner of your screen). While paused, you have the option to

    • Skip or restart the exercise that you’re on

    • View instructions on how best to complete the exercise, or modify it to be easier or more challenging.

    • Turn on or off the verbal instructions and chimes that guide you through each exercise (select the 'Settings' option).

    • End your exercise session early.

  • If you find an exercise too easy or hard, you can share feedback on this at the end of the session (on the 'Session summary' screen), which will adjust your following sessions for you.
